Berkeley Marina ft. Sperry's

on Mallory: c/o Sperry's Seacoast Sneakers from Designer Studio Store, UNIQLO Slim Boyfriend Ankle Length Jeans (currently on sale), H&M Airy blouse (currently on sale), Mint by Goorin Hat (old, similar here), vintage LV bag

Boat shoes have always been too preppy for me, but these maritime-inspired sneakers are the perfect compromise.  They have quickly become my favorite slip-on shoes.  They are comfortable and the elastic shoe tongue makes them super easy to put on.

Speaking of comfortable, you just can't beat a soft pair bf jeans, it's kind of like pajamas that you can wear outside.

MacarOn Cafe

One of my favorite things about visiting France was the Patisseries.  Back in Berkeley, there are limited-to-no places to get macarons (anyone let me know if they have suggestions!).  So when MacarOn Cafe reached out for us to try their MacarOns, Obviously we were on board.  Continue reading for our review!

Pink Pants

On Mal: Chelsea Wide Leg Cropped Trousers via Nordstrom's half-yearly sale (sold out, similar here), H&M Geometric Print Top (old), Asos Collection 'Say What You Will' shoes, Pour La Victoire Elie Crossbody, Karen Walker Harvest Sunglasses

Photos by Ty

I was originally going to name this post 'Pepto Pants' for the color, but realized that was maybe a bad idea.

I found these pants while browsing the half-yearly sale with Whit and had to get them. They reminding me of a less-intense version of the pants that I wore here.  Usually I find that wide-legged pants get wrinkly with all the extra fabric, but Ty shot these in the evening and they were surprisingly crisp! I wish I could link them directly, but I couldn't find them online :(.

On another note, how ridiculous are these shoes?

Shopping Guide: Backpacks

Ever since Whit found this Rebecca Minkoff backpack, she's been wearing it non-stop.  On the hunt for similarly-chic backpacks turns up many (but pricey) results.  Lusting after these ones, but still looking for some more affordable options!

Duvet

On Mal: Madewell Quilted Drawstring (Currently on sale!), c/o Happiness Boutique Prosperity Statement Necklace, H&M Draped top (old), DIY distressed GAP Sexy Boyfriend jeans, Schutz Sandals (old), Pour la Victoire Crossbody

I wore this jacket while visiting family, and my dad asked why I was wearing a bedspread.  Ha ha, Dad.  Even if my dad doesn't get it, I love this jacket.  I bought it a couple weeks ago and have not stopped wearing it.  It is super comfortable (like a bedspread) and pretty warm as well.  The only thing is that I find it runs large.  The model on the website makes it look fitted...but I am wearing an extra small and it still has an oversized look. Obviously I am not model-height or anything, but usually I go for xs or s.  Anyone interested in purchasing the same, I would suggest checking in-store...I got an extra 20% off the marked price (which was $49), so it was a better deal than online!

Totoro is always keeping an eye out.

Travel Diaries: Hakone

Floating head, which was impressively large at the Hakone Sculpture Garden.  It reminded me of something that would have been in LOST.

Yerba Buena

On Mal: A'GACI Mesh Tank (old, similar here), H&M Camel Coat (old, also love this one), J. Crew Lookout Skinnies , Nike Roshe Runs, Pour La Victoire Elie Crossbody

Photos by Jen Christo

Last weekend we had the pleasure to shoot with Jen (everyone should check her site and follow her on Instagram @jachristo).  We shot these at Yerba Buena Park, and luckily we were there early enough that it wasn't too crowded...only the Tai Chi people were there!

On a completely unrelated note, we watched Mad Max after many glowing reviews and it was insane. Definitely not a boring moment.  Whit was too horrified to even eat her popcorn.
