Pretty much dressed the opposite of what normal people would to the beach..but hey, we were at Ocean Beach, where it's almost always too cold to wear anything other than a North Face jacket.  Look how windy it was!

If you read our blog, you probably know that I love ridiculous, oversized, jewelry (see here, and here), but lately I have been more drawn towards delicate jewelry. That is, as long as they are layered and numerous.

(ReadyTwoWear + Inspirafashion) x Old Navy

This past Thursday we had the pleasure of playing full-size Barbie with Kathleen of Inspirafashion at Old Navy in Emeryville.  It was really fun running around the store to style our mannes, although we had a hard time finagling the clothing onto them (it took two of us to put on their shorts!).

There will probably another event coming up soon for back to school, so make sure to come hang out with us next time :D.

As if I haven't been obvious enough, my latest obsession has been playsuits.  This Top Shop onesie is the baby version of my Rachel Roy romper, so I couldn't resist treating myself when I saw it in Vegas last month!

I love flamingos...my 9th birthday party was flamingo-themed (I still have the lawn flamingo decor in my old room somewhere). And I love skeletons, which sounds creepy, but I worked in a lab during my time at Cal taking morphological measurements, so it's not that weird, right? Maybe I should say I am interested in skeletons.  ANYWAY..obviously a skeletal flamingo tee is right up my alley.

And to my surprise, when I visited home this weekend, my Grandma and my aunt thought this tee was "cute" haha.

Return of the Spaghetti Strap

I don't know about you, but I used to be sad that spaghetti straps were against the dress code in elementary and junior high school. Today the spaghetti strap is back in a big way, and this time it's sophisticated.  Now we can all be upset that we can't wear them to work.

Things to keep in mind when styling spaghetti straps:

1. Keep it effortless and wear flat shoes. Sandals work well with jumpers or dresses and summer boots work well with dresses

2. Avoid fabrics with too much shine so that you don't look like you are wearing negligee outside.

3. If wearing a top with thin straps, have more coverage on your legs to avoid looking too naked.
