Hi all! Just a quick update during the busy holidays. How was your week? I'm currently catching up on some work at a Target cafe. It's freezing in here...my fingers can barely move so I'm gonna cut it short. Happy holidays!
I have actually been looking for a feather skirt, but could never find one in my price range...so I was pretty excited to find this furry one at FrontRowShop. The fur has the same effect as feathers, but is more season-appropriate. Although seasonal dressing is not too relevant in the Bay Area...it was 70 degrees today.
I hope everyone passes a warm and happy holiday! Be sure to wear lots of rhinestones (I do anyway, but this is the time of year when my giant jewelry/sequins is actually appropriate).
Happy hump day everyone! For the holidays, we've teamed up with Choies to gift one reader $50 credit to their website. Above are some of our $50 and under picks. Depending on what you like, you might be able to pick up a couple pieces with the win! Btw, some of the Choies pieces we've previously styled on this blog are still available ;)
This giveaway is open internationally. Just follow the steps below. Good luck!
This weekend we were all set to go to the reopening of our favorite Berkeley Chinese restaurant, Great China, only to have them delay the opening for a few days :(. The original building had a fire a couple of years ago (while we were there!), and we have anxiously awaited for them to reopen ever since.
Seriously, if you are in Berkeley around lunchtime...go get the spicy garlic pork lunch special!
What goes with rhinestones? MORE RHINESTONES. You know me, always going for that *subtle* sparkle.
If I look a little awkward in these photos, it's because I had an impromptu audience. Between the vocal stranger yelling at me to pose like Tyra's Next Top Model and the rando photographer taking his own photos...I felt a little uncomfortable.
Living Proof Prime Style Extender Received this as a sample and now cannot live without it. Hair primer sounds silly, but this stuff is lightweight and keeps hair grease at bay for days. No more dry shampoo flakes!
Snapped these photos quickly as the sun was setting and ended up with what looks like photos taken on separate days. Edmond convinced me that the first location wasn't great so we took a few steps around the corner where there was different lighting. I still can't decide which I like better, so here they both are.
As promised, here is a quick post from the Powell Street SF H&M event that we attended last Thursday!
We were super excited to get to pre-shop courtesy of H&M for ourselves and our twitter winner Eve (modeling her new coat above). We all got our hands on some cute stuff!
As far as the remodel, we must say, the gold racks and mirrors are a total upgrade. The new fitting room is pretty swanky. The men's section is also an entire floor now (good news for boyfriends), which means the women's is entirely on the first floor. We are interested in seeing where designer collabs will be hosted now, since Womens does seem slightly more cramped...
Here is a peek of some of the items we selected, which you will see styled on the blog shortly!
This past Thursday Whit and I had the pleasure of pre-shopping the newly remodeled H&M at Powell Street, and help out our lovely reader Eve pick out a new outfit c/o H&M. Eve was between two coats, this one and another (equally cute)...and after she went with the other, I decided I had to snatch this one up at 50% off for myself hehe.
We will be posting more about the event soon, so stay tuned to see more of the event/what we chose :).
On another note, how cute is this stud watch from La Mer Collections? I like that it is disguised as a bracelet...popping open the cover feels very secret agent.
Isn't this wall art so darn cute? I took photos across the street a while back, and this is what completes the whole piece. It's one of the hidden gems that I've discovered in the Sunset besides Grand View Park.
I spy some of my favorite places in San Francisco: Golden Gate Park and AT&T Park. And I spy some of my not-so-favorite things about the city: meter maids and seagulls. Not gonna lie, these seagulls are pretty adorable. For a good second I thought they were penguins.
So..Mal confirmed that the birds above are, in fact, penguins. My bad. What are penguins doing in San Francisco?
Hi friends! We will be at H&M Powell St. this Thursday along with some fellow Bay Area Bloggers for its grand re-opening. The store got a makeover, and we can't wait to preview it with you. Come early to join in on the fun and the goodies!
