This is the world's comfiest sweater..its like a blanket cape but better because there are sleeves. Unlike a cape it doesn't slide off the shoulders all the time.

I found it a while back at Banana Factory in Gilroy when they were running extra 50% off the whole store.  It was marked in clearance, so I am a bit surprised I was able to find it still listed online.  They only had a M/L (maybe that is why it was clearance in-store?), but the bigger size definitely amplifies the blanket effect...I am only 5'3" in the morning.

A lot of my closet is made up of neutrals...I literally have three similar gray turtleneck sweaters.  It's good to be consistent, right?  It definitely makes throwing together last-minute outfits easy. It also can make things feel a bit monotonous, however.  My go-to winter outfit has been sweater + jeans + boots...so it was nice to mix it up with this lace-up skirt (also worn here).

The small break in the rain today made it feasible to wear something different..finally.

Last Sunday we spent the day together playing board games and eating and somehow fitting in some photos as well.  It was so cold, Whit was wearing two coats.  By cold we mean 50 degrees...but with wind chill! People who live in the snow probably think we Bay Area folk are a bunch of wimps.

We played King of New York, which was cute with all the different monsters.  Also you get to roll 6 die at once which is fun just on its own.  We also played Sheriff of Nottingham during which you lie to and bribe all your friends (Whit hates that one).  We are always on the hunt for new board games to play, so if anyone has any ideas, we are all ears :3.

Can't believe another week has passed already!  I've just been working toward some of my new year's resolutions.  Surprisingly I've kept up with my work out plan (for one whole week, yay!).  Seriously considering training for a 5K now, but we'll see..

Snapped these photos quickly as the sun was setting and ended up with what looks like photos taken on separate days.  Edmond convinced me that the first location wasn't great so we took a few steps around the corner where there was different lighting.  I still can't decide which I like better, so here they both are.
