Oh hey, it's been a while!  I apologize for our extended and unannounced absence, but I promise we both have good reasons: I was travelling for three weeks after the end of my program, and then I came home to California to help finish put my sister's wedding together (in two weeks!).  And now I finally have some time, hence this post.  I promise there will be more soon!

The internet in China has been HORRIBLE lately..all foreign websites have been censored and i've been super bored. it's interesting how the sites i most frequently visit can't be accessed without a vpn. i feel really lucky right now to be able to get on blogspot and have somewhat of a decent internet connection so I can post :)

Anyway, I visited Sanya this weekend! Please excuse my food baby. Having a breakfast buffet right before hitting the beach isn't exactly a good idea haha!

Sorry for a lack of updates lately :( a lot has happened..my computer's harddrive crashed and i lost all my photos. poop! i paid a visit to xi'an to see the terracotta army, the eight wonder of the world. amazing! and i made summer plans, which will include cambodia, thailand, and taiwan. i'm so excited!

Thrifted Poncho | New Look scalloped shorts | HM shoes

As promised, an outfit!  This is the poncho that I thought was a scarf when I bought it.  Turns out, I kinda like it as a poncho, even with the whole drama-teacher vibe.   I was wearing this poncho when I saw these scalloped shorts, and when I tried them on, realized they looked better with my outfit than the shorts I was wearing...so I bought them and changed immediately.  I felt like a child again, when I would wear my new shoes out of the store, and put my old shoes in the box...instant gratification :).  

Basque-ing

Hey all, sorry for the extended absence.  For the most part, the last two weeks have not been too kind to either of us.  For me, it has been finals. I honestly do not understand how i can still have 3 finals, when i have already taken 4.  blech. Plus, before my last 8:30 final, the tram was broken down.  having no car, no bike, and no phone (I just ran out of minutes) I was freaking out.  Luckily, thanks to a replacement bus (that randomly dropped me off in an intersection somewhat close to my final) and my not-so-amazing speed in loafers, I managed to get there just five minutes late.  Great way to go into a final...

ANYWAY, three days in the Basque region (on the border of France and Spain along the Atlantic coast), was exactly what I needed to recharge for my next set of finals this week.  I have no outfit pictures, as I was too busy soaking in the scenery.  The Basque region is literally my dream: mountains, forest AND sandy beaches. It doesn't get any better than that.


I hope to post sometime this week, provided I don't get too grumpy from finals...

As for Whitney, she is currently on vacation.  I know she will come back with some amazing photos, I am fully expecting a recreation of the antm photo shoot with the elephants in Thailand...remember?

i'm not sure if you have noticed, but i am slightly obsessed with feathers.  so you can imagine my excitement when i found this necklace for seven euros!  i went shopping this week in paris with my cousins and aunt, and found a couple other cute items as well, including a gift for whitney :).  the belt i found a while ago for 2 euros at a random store...so i guess i shouldn't be too jealous of whitney and her ridiculous deals.  although i remain incredibly jealous of her most recent sweater purchase...

in less exciting news, whitney and i have tests approaching (finals for me and midterms for whitney) so we apologize for the possible delays in posting.

and btw, don't i look like an amputee in that last photo?  blarp, time to go study.

p.s. those braids are my real hair, for those wondering [ crystal :) ].  i have been contemplating letting my hair down more lately..but the control freak in me gets frustrated with it in my face.
