Maui Travel Diary

Click through to see my favorite spots on Maui!
Road to Hana
This was a real life version of Disneyland's Indiana Jones Adventure.  We travelled through 52 miles of windy narrow roads in rain, atop cliffs with rock slide warnings.  The thrill of the ride kept us awake as we made stops for banana bread, waterfalls, and short hikes.  My favorite was Kipahulu, Haleakala National Park.  This was where the Pipiwai Trail was with the bamboo forest and the Seven Sacred Pools.  And yes, I did hike in a dress.  I decided it would be okay given how short the hikes were!  I got drenched in rain, but still have no regrets.

Nakalele Blowhole
This heart-shaped rock is pretty heavily instagrammed (makes sense!).  The surrounding area was just as memorable to me.  The black rocky terrain was nothing that I had seen before.  I felt like I was on the set of Mad Max.  And look how close I was able to get to the blowhole!

Haleakala National Park
As recommended by many people, we came to Haleakala for the sunrise.  It was pretty amazing standing high above the clouds and seeing the craters unfold with the sunrise.  I took the opportunity to take a cheesy couple photo of my friends, haha!

Food
Pictured below is Mama's Fish House.  This was easily the fanciest and most expensive meal of the trip and I was not disappointed.

Other places we loved:
Tamura's Fine Wine Liquor Store (for poke!!)
Ululani's Shaved Ice
Star Noodle

Kula Lavender Farm
To be quite honest, this lavender farm was a lot smaller than I had expected.  I was expecting to be engulfed by fields of lavender.  Instead it was more of a garden.  It was also a great place for photos.

  5. There are certainly a lot of details like that to take into consideration. That is a great point to bring up. I offer the thoughts above as general inspiration but clearly there are questions like the one you bring up where the most important thing will be working in honest good faith. I don?t know if best practices have emerged around things like that, but I am sure that your job is clearly identified as a fair game. Both boys and girls feel the impact of just a moment’s pleasure, for the rest of their lives.
