Dressed up Denim at Hall Wines

A couple weeks ago, we got invited by Hall Wines to celebrate the launch of their new brand, BACA zinfandel. We are never ones to turn down the chance to eat and drink, but having been to Hall before on our own, we knew we def wanted to go back. Gotta love that light saber bunny. And we actually liked all the wines we tried (but Cat's Cradle is the best).

We also used the event as an excuse to celebrate our new jobs! We have both been busy getting up to speed in our new roles (Whit is now a software engineer, and I'm now a product designer) so haven't had as much time to hang out, or blog for that matter.  We are hoping to fix that soon, though! We also post much more often on Insta and on Insta stories if you are ever curious what we are up to.

The last couple of weeks really got away from me. I have been pretty heads-down at my design program, and am now trying to find some balance.

These photos are actually back from my San Diego trip at the beginning of October. I am just now getting around to getting this post together, oops.  This outfit had VERY mixed reviews from my friends haha. I was going for a '70s vibe, but according to ~some~, it seemed more schoolboy and/or farmer.

Shopping Guide // Buttoned Denim Skirts

Used to think denim skirts were either too 'prairie' or too A&F, but these buttoned numbers managed to raise my opinion.  Trying hard to resist buying that Good Vibes Bad Days skirt....it's on sale too!!

I wore this jacket while visiting family, and my dad asked why I was wearing a bedspread.  Ha ha, Dad.  Even if my dad doesn't get it, I love this jacket.  I bought it a couple weeks ago and have not stopped wearing it.  It is super comfortable (like a bedspread) and pretty warm as well.  The only thing is that I find it runs large.  The model on the website makes it look fitted...but I am wearing an extra small and it still has an oversized look. Obviously I am not model-height or anything, but usually I go for xs or s.  Anyone interested in purchasing the same, I would suggest checking in-store...I got an extra 20% off the marked price (which was $49), so it was a better deal than online!

Totoro is always keeping an eye out.

You can't go wrong in a Canadian Tuxedo...as long as your denims are two different washes.  To be extra sure I don't look like I am wearing coveralls, I like to wear a super light wash with a medium wash. Then to be extra, extra careful, I add a belt to break up the two.

Recently I have been wearing these boots almost everyday; they are crazy comfortable.  I think they are cute, but my boyfriend says they remind him of Nacho Libre's fancy boots...

I was ecstatic when I found these wedges on clearance at a BCBG outlet..and still am.  They're insanely high, but I will trip and fall if I have to.  :)
